Production Manager
Salary: 30k - 45k per annum. Staff discount. NEST Pension.
Contract: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

REGULATION is one of the UK’s leading gay male adult retailers. We source and manufacture a wide range of toys, latex, leather garments, and specialist products from North London warehouse.. Understanding our niche and the community we serve is essential to our success.
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our North London team in the production of high-quality latex and leather clothing. In this position, you'll be handling multiple tasks simultaneously, from managing raw materials and production schedules to leading a dedicated production team within our workshop space. The role demands a proficient use of various computer software for optimal workflow management, along with an ability to balance numerous variables, including individual garment timelines and broader production timelines.
You’ll be a collaborative team player, with an ability to work independently and a confidence in your own judgement. Previous experience in managing a team is essential as you’ll be supervising and supporting to a team of 10-15 staff. You’ll need strong IT & numeracy skills and an industry specific curiosity. Some level of practical ability will also be required for success in the role.
This role is primarily an office/workshop based role with occasional home working available.
KEY DUTIES
Raw Materials Management
- Monitor raw materials inventory, replenishing as necessary.
- Review incoming materials, addressing delivery issues with suppliers as appropriate.
- Update raw material pricing on internal systems regularly.
- Source and order new materials when required, taking into account quality and cost.
Production Coordination
- Manage the production schedule, aligning customer orders and stocked items to meet expectations.
- Stay aware of factors that might influence production capacity, such as team availability, raw material shortages, or predicted demand surges.
- Initiate purchase orders for stock replenishment.
- Track the performance of stocked items, adjusting production levels as necessary.
- Support product development projects when needed.
- Acquire the ability to confidently cost and quote new or custom items.
Team Leadership
- Monitor the performance of production team members.
- Oversee the production team schedule and prepare accurate payroll data.
- Conduct performance reviews for the team.
- Identify strengths and areas for improvement within the team.
- Manage the hiring and training of new team members, focusing on their development.
Reporting & Data Management
- Generate monthly reports detailing revenue and expenses, using this data to guide decisions.
- Regularly update various internal metrics.
- Check the accuracy of catalogue data and liaise with the marketing team for necessary changes.
Site Maintenance
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and organised workshop environment.
- Monitor the condition of tools and equipment, arranging for maintenance or replacement as needed.
YOUR KEY SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Numeracy Skills - The ability to comprehend and work with numerical data to make daily decisions.
